Todd Mack has made a 25-year career as a musician, songwriter, and producer based upon his unwavering belief in the power of music to change the world. A diehard do-it-yourselfer, Mack has often taken the road less traveled. He has self-released seven CDs of his music, produced dozens of album projects by other indie artists at his Off the Beat-n-Track recording studio in Sheffield, MA and elsewhere, and has toured extensively throughout the United States, Far East, and Middle East, often finding himself in some unlikely places. He performs as a soloist and with his band at concert halls, colleges, festivals, clubs, coffeehouses, and house concerts. Mack has earned a reputation as an engaging and provocative performer, often weaving stories of his travels and experiences into the show and breaking down conventional barriers between artist and audience by inviting audience members to accompany him onstage. Todd also performs with his daughter, Caroline Mack, an actor and singer-songwriter who released her debut CD in May of 2011 at the age of 13.In 2005, Todd organized a backyard jam in honor of his friend the late Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl’s October 10th birthday. Fueled by a resonating belief in music as a universal language, that backyard jam has grown into an internationally touring non-profit organization with innovative community-building programming that serves as a call to action in communities around the world. To date, Music in Common has toured to nearly 200 communities across the U.S., Middle East, and Far East and operates multiple programs locally, nationally, and internationally. Todd serves as its executive director.A published writer, Mack has written two children’s books for Scholastic Press and writes a monthly column and blog called MAD (Making a Difference) with Music. Since 2002, he has produced and hosted two nationally syndicated radio shows, the Off the Beat-n-Track Radio Show and the FODcast. Todd speaks locally, nationally, and internationally on a wide range of topics related to music and its power to create social change.MAD with Music – a moving, autobiographical one-man show that weaves the story of Todd's journey to create social change with music, blending together his original songs and writings to tell his story. All profits from all MAD with Music shows benefit Music in Common, Inc. Ideal for small theaters, arts and cultural centers, and colleges. Concerts – Todd has toured extensively throughout the United States, Israel, Palestine, Taiwan, and Hong Kong performing as a soloist, with small acoustic ensembles, and with his band.
