The Springfield City Library: All Yours, Just Ask. Our mission is:Building connections | Broadening horizons | Strengthening communityThe community source for literacy, technology and information Through enriching, enlightening, entertaining, and educational programs we strive to achieve our mission and celebrate Springfield.We book programs for adults, teens, and children. We have booked musicians, puppeteers, storytellers, poets, science educators, speakers, dancers, authors, and dramatists.We have 9 library locations in the City of Springfield in Western Massachusetts. We offer programs at all of them, although only some have community rooms. The Central Library has a large rotunda where numerous music concerts have been held. Audience sizes have ranged from 10-100 in our various locations. No library has a stage or similar set-up.We are Colleagues in the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Cultural Portfolio.
