The Hitchcock Center's mission is to foster a greater awareness and understanding of our environment and to develop environmentally literate citizens. Since 1962, the Hitchcock Center has served the Pioneer Valley region as one of the most influential sources of environment education, shaping the attitudes, beliefs and values of approximately 7,000 children and adults yearly, including 400 pre-service and in-services teachers in over 55 public schools..
