Quiero Volver: A Xicanx Ritual Opera is a multisensory performance altar for queer, nonbinary, and trans artists of color to convene and manifest futures. In this ritual gathering, guides offer multi-sensory meditations on motherlessness, loss, resisting violence, oppression, and building chosen family. Quiero Volver centers transcendence, kinship, coalitional healing, and collective liberation. The performance features Doctora Xingona's original music and poemscript, with documentary portraits from the BridgeSong Series, an intersectional, virtual liberation convening for artists to build coalitions for planetary healing and transformation.
